The internet is an awesome place, and is something I have been absolutely fascinated with since I first got dial-up at home back in 1994. Before Dreamweaver, before Frontpage, there was this little program called Adobe Pagemill that my mom bought for me at the beginning of sixth grade, and I've been making web pages ever since.

In high school, I took some computer science classes and learned the fundamentals of HTML and Javascript, and I further refined these skills in college, where I worked on the websites of two major student groups. I also decided I wanted to have a personal website, so I purchased the domain Shihbang.com, too.

In addition to my personal site, I have also creates sites for the 2005 Beijing Wushu Team USA Tour, a jewelry site for my friend's aunt, and my current project, FastFoodCalc.com.

Below are screenshots of some of the websites I've made over the years, in a roughly chronological order:

Various Versions of Shihbang.com
Shihbang.com Version 2
The 2nd version - I can't find the first version, for some reason. However, version 2 and 1 were nearly identical, so both were equally bad. I'm glad I've improved a bit since then.
Shihbang.com Version 3
The ultra short-lived 3rd version. I think barely anyone has ever seen this one. It lasted for about a month...during which I did not update it. It actually doesn't look that bad, but it isn't a revolution in site design, either.
Shihbang.com Version 4
I think this version marked a watershed in my web design career, as I had finally decided on a certain personal style. Clean lines and simple fonts, none of which would be more obvious than in...
Shihbang.com Version 5
Simple doesn't get much simpler. It only has two colors, too. Compact, black & white, extremely low-bandwidth friendly. However, it was a bit too plain for my taste.
Shihbang.com Version 6
The 6th version marks the first time that I used flash extensively in a site. I've used flash for music and small things like that, but this time, I used flash for the main menu, the side menu, and the little radio gizmo on the right. Though the baby blue background isn't very cool, I still think the whole layout turned out quite well.
Shihbang.com Version 7
I like this layout a lot, and I think I used it for over a year, which must be a record, considering I went through the previous six versions in about two years. The only two problems I had with this version were that the background was white, which is hard on the eyes, and that I didn't use any includes, which made updating the menus a huge chore. Still, I liked this layout a lot.
Shihbang.com Version 8
I may have used this layout even longer than I did the last one, even though I didn't really like it as much. I was just too lazy to swap this one out until now, when I decided to go for a more professional look.

Other Sites
Freshman Sophomore Business Club
Once again, my favorite colors make an appearance. I worked on this site with my college roommate Chris, who designed the logo.
Heaven on Earth: A Tenjo Tenge Fansite
My short-lived fansite on the anime/manga series Tenjo Tenge. It was quite popular for a while but it was hosted by the Open Computing Facility at Berkeley, so it went down when I graduated and I never bothered to resurrect it.
Beijing Wushu Team 2005 USA Tour
I made this for my friend James, who brought the Beijing Wushu Team to the US for a cross-country performance tour in 2005.
Hanh Le Design
A website I made for my friend's aunt, who makes and sells handmade jewerly.
Fast Food Calc
My friend and I created this website to help people calculate the nutritional information for a meal at any of the major fast food restaurants. Check it out here.
