My family has always loved photographs, and I totally inherited my parents' obession to capture as many moments on camera as possible. Though I typically use a Canon IXUS 800IS I bought in Japan back in 2006 to take pictures of people and food, I had always been disappointed with my camera's inability to take great nature shots in certain lighting situations, so I purchased a Canon Digital Rebel XT (at right) a couple of years ago. Some day I hope to be able to take the kinds of shots that you can find in Peter Lik's galleries, but for now, here are some of my favorite shots so far.
